Knowing your subjects behaviors can lead to making the unexpected image an expected image. I have photographed the Common Loon for years and knew that toward the end of the preening process the birds would et up and shake their wings out. With this knowledge and a bird that was use to having boats near by I was able to create this image which I call Wings.
